Hi Viktorija, thank you for reading and responding. However, your comment is still leaning into fatphobia under the guise of concern. Cyclic dieting, medical and social stigmatization, and focus on weight/BMI as markers of health are not healthy and are detrimental to one’s health and quality of life. While you are correct that weight tends to level itself out to a set point in times of stable eating and exercise habits (i.e., not restricting), that set point is not inherently more or less healthy than anyone else’s based on BMI. Associating “obesity” or BMI with health outcomes is an extremely privileged and cursory way to look at things without also factoring in the impact of weight stigma and lack of adequate health care from fatphobic doctors. I recommend “The Fuck It Diet” by Caroline Dooner and “Health at Every Size” by Linda Bacon PhD to start a better foundation of understanding fatphobia and diet cycling.
